hand-made bags

I am so behind with postings. I have had some things for quite some time but never got the chance to post them yet.

Yes, I know I already have a few big school bags but this one caught my eye. I love how one side of the straps is made to look like a tie! It is so different and makes it stand out from the rest of my collection. The only drawback is that the fabric is a thin so I would never try to overstuff it.

I wish I had the talent to make my own bags. I am a sucker for bags with plastic/wooden handles. It's nice to have a bag in this sage color. Usually my green bags are cameo prints. I thought the little plush keychain was a cute touch to the bag. This bag is a fun accessory to capris and skirts! I added the button on there later. It's an ape picking his nose. So me, so kiddin.

I actually thought the tie one was a tank top, until I read the captioning. But either way, it's still very cool! I love wooden handles too! It's not like they're ergonomically correct or anything, but I think it adds a nice handmade/crafty element to the purse. And the wood is a warm contrast to the fabric (esp. if it's a rosewood or mahogony handle). =)

That would be a cute tank if the straps were like a tie.

Yah, wood pieces rock. Granted, I must admit that the handles are not the most comfortable but heck, we're girls, you gotta suffer for fashion.

They're starting to put wood accessories on clothing too, like little beads and necklace like things. Very cute. I'll post those eventually.
