a blast into the past

I'm really liking the lace accents and crocheted embellishments that are on clothing. Even better is when the material is made to resemble lace but in fact is a much smoother and softer fabric instead. It brings out such a vintage look. Obviously you don't want to be completely decked out in lace from head to toe or you'll look like 80's Madonna (like a virgin days).

This is a pretty simplistic piece but the beadwork helps accentuate it.

Yet another simplistic piece but the pin and strands help bling it out a bit. I love the vintage vibe of it.

This piece has the lace resemblance only on the top half which I loved. Since it's a very flowy top, you need to pair it with tighter and more straight legged bottoms or you'll look frumpy. Leggings would work as well. I also love the vintage feel to this piece, it gives me a flapper vibe. The pin is removable so those who want to go bold can leave it on. Works well with or without it honestly.

Oooh, lace accents and crocheted top. You can't get more vintage than that! (Okay, you can) I love the romantic feel to this piece!

The fun and flirty piece - I love the funky body pattern and the cute crocheted flower pins! You probably wouldn't expect a mixture of such different elements but somehow it just works.

I just had an oonagi moment w/ you, and it's so weird. I won't devulge details, but yah. I'm feeling the granny crochet vibe too.

Dude, what's the oooonagi moment?!? Share share share. I LOVE the mixture of textures and patterns, it's so awesome. Haha, Kevin thinks I'm nuts when I go gaga over them, making items sound like a person.
