menswear
I know this is coming a bit late (haven't had time to take the photos & blog) but I absolutely love the menswear inspired clothing! I used to love wearing the tie but more along the lines of a punk look or school uniform vibe. It's just so sexy that woman can wear the power of suit pieces yet still look shapely. The pieces now are sophisticated looking yet still feminine. Not to mention many of the pieces are accentuated with pieces of leather, fur, or even metallic tones. What's best is that you are not confined to a full suit, instead you can mix and match the pieces as you choose. The pieces look great with dress pants, skirts, and skinny jeans. Especially with the vests, you can choose to pair them off with dress shirts, blouses, or my favorites of either a muscle tank or solid colored tee. I personally prefer wearing the vests with solid color clothing because I want the main focus to be on the vest. I had gotten two really cute ones last year but they're somewhere in my winter bins (aka too messy to find). But they were halter vests, one was corduroy and the other was black pinstriped.

I love the dark color on this and how it's accented with the black lace along the sides. It adds a very feminine touch to it.

This is a more casual vest but I couldn't resist the rounded collar!

Now this is one of the staycinista pieces. Why? Because it combines a bunch of things I love into one piece. It's a halter vest, I actually hadn't been able to find many of the new vests that were halters since last year. It's a pretty plaid pattern, which is one of the new fabrics this fall. To top it off, it's got the belted look that I love! What more could I ask for in one piece?

Hehe, that's so funny. I actually tried on some suspenders. Actually, they were attached to some pretty short shorts in my opinion. It looked cute on the hanger but when I put it on, it looked kinda shankish to me, but that's probably because I really don't wear shorts anymore so I always feel odd about it. Hmm, acutally, the things I tried on kinda remind me of what Christina Aguilera wears in her video but she can get away with it. You should totally rock the suspenders, but just pair it with a more form fitting (sexy) top.
